1.5 MB/s is typical speed limit from my Comcast's landline cable modem. They provide limited BW for uploading, at approx. 350 kB/s. Downloads can go as high as 2 MB/s. There is a 250 GB per month BW limit. Users can check their profile on Comcast's web site to monitor this. Cost is currently $50 / month. For $20 more per month, Comcast claims to provide unlimited BW.
